Our people are the heartbeat of our organisation. With 4,000 of them across our 200 sites,  every day they look to bring their individual best and brilliant selves to work in order to make sustainable construction a reality.

From the age of 16, Krish Patel has shown incredible drive. He went straight into work and didn’t want to waste a second. Fast-forward just 15 years and Krish is managing the entire operational development of Holcim’s new Tilbury site – and has no plans to slow down.
 

For filling and loading manager Rob Nutt, working at Holcim has consisted of a career full of achievements. But not everything has gone smoothly. When he suffered a life-changing injury on the job, he decided to use his experience to create a team culture in which nothing is more important than safety.

Clare Partridge, head of health, safety and the environment (HSE) at Holcim UK has had a remarkable career, working predominantly on the front line across a variety of fast-paced and high-risk industries.
 

Tom Redfern’s career has always been focused on sustainability and improving the environment. Whether he was making sure water companies were staying compliant with their systems or changing flight plans to reduce the noise impact on residents, Tom’s career experiences put him in good stead for his current role as head of sustainability at Holcim UK.
 

Managing director Danny King leads Holcim UK’s asphalt division, comprising more than 400 employees and over 50 sites nationwide. He comes from humble beginnings and is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of talent into the construction sector, which includes his son.
 

For coxswain Lawrie Cerexhe, no two days are the same.
