Adam Kutcher, regional operations director at Holcim Readymix South, has had a rollercoaster of a career in the construction industry. Despite facing challenges that would turn many away from the sector, Adam has redefined his experience as a powerful example of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
 

As a young boy, Mustapha Nyass didn’t see himself represented in the construction industry. But he didn’t let this stop him from pursuing his dreams. From helping his mum build their house out of clay in The Gambia, to leading his team at Holcim to success every day, Mustapha’s story is one of grit, perseverance and belief. 

Harvir Padda’s story is truly inspiring. Not only has she overcome extreme difficulties, but she’s also prioritised kindness and helping others – inside and outside of Holcim.
 

Starting his career as a weighbridge operative, Leon Pennant now coordinates the supply of materials to one of the UK’s biggest transport projects — HS2. 

Leaving university can be a daunting time for many young people seeking to enter the job market. And it was no different for Laura Golledge. But after completing a degree in geology, she decided a part-time job just wasn’t going to cut it. So, she decided to take the plunge…literally.
