Holcim has announced Adham El Sharkawy as the new Chief Executive Officer of its UK business. He has taken up his position as of 1 September 2026.

Adham is appointed UK CEO following a successful career with Holcim Group which spans 18 years, most recently as CEO of Holcim’s business in Algeria. With more than two decades of international leadership experience across the building materials and construction industry,  Adham has led businesses, teams, and transformations across the Middle East, Africa, and other growth markets.

Grant Earnshaw, Region Head for Western Europe for Holcim, said: “I’d like to congratulate Adham on his appointment. He’s an excellent leader to take the UK business forward, with vast experience in our business and our industry.

Danny King, who has been acting as interim CEO, continues with Holcim UK as Managing Director for Aggregates, Asphalt, and Contracting.
