Life on the high seas – Lawrie’s story

Lawrie Cerexhe, coxswain in Holcim’s marine team at the remote Glensanda quarry, has carved out a unique role keeping passenger and machinery boats running smoothly in all weathers. Her journey from working on Stena Line ferries to joining Holcim was driven by a lifelong love of the sea, and she balances her day-to-day work with volunteering as an RNLI lifeboat crew member, proving that passion and adaptability can steer you to unexpected horizons.
